Kimmer Coppejans14Game context
Rodionov enters as the clear favorite in this US Open qualifying first-round match on outdoor hard courts, driven by his superior ranking (No. 134 vs. Coppejans at No. 218), left-handed serve that performs well on the surface, and greater recent main-draw experience. The 27-year-old Austrian has shown solid hard-court results in prior seasons and benefits from a physical edge at 6-foot-3. Coppejans, at 32, arrives after a mixed clay-heavy schedule that included a recent challenger loss in Prague, though he has demonstrated return strength and competitive sets on faster surfaces historically. With no prior head-to-head meetings and both players needing strong serving and break-point conversion in best-of-three format, traders price in Rodionov's edge while noting Coppejans' potential to extend sets through return pressure.
