Golden Knights vs. Kings

Game context
Vegas Golden Knights enter the matchup with stronger recent momentum after finishing the 2025-26 season atop the Pacific Division at 39-26-17, advancing to the Stanley Cup Final before falling to Carolina. The Los Angeles Kings posted a 35-27-20 record, securing fourth in the division and a playoff berth but showing defensive inconsistencies with more goals allowed. Head-to-head results favored Vegas in February 2026 contests, including a 4-1 win and a 6-4 comeback victory. As Pacific Division rivals preparing for the 2026-27 campaign, both clubs focus on training camp adjustments, roster depth, and special teams execution ahead of their September 19 preseason meeting and October 10 regular-season opener. Home-ice splits and goaltending stability remain key variables in this divisional contest.
