US Open, Qualification WTA: Mia Ristic vs Ayana Akli

Game context
Mia Ristic enters this US Open qualifying match against Ayana Akli as the higher-ranked player at approximately No. 195, with strong recent momentum including a 9-1 record in her last 10 matches and five consecutive wins. The 20-year-old Serbian has shown consistent form across surfaces, though her hard-court results this season are more limited. Akli, a 25-year-old American ranked near No. 263, has posted mixed singles results on hard courts, including recent losses in W75-level events, while splitting time between singles and doubles. The hard-court surface and qualifying format favor players with better overall ranking and current form, reflected in trader pricing that positions Ristic as the clear favorite. Late scratches or fatigue from prior qualifying rounds remain the main variables that could shift outcomes.
