Lorenzo Sonego53Game context
Sonego holds a 2-0 head-to-head edge over Duckworth and arrives with fresh momentum after snapping a three-match skid by defeating ninth seed Adrian Mannarino 6-1 7-6(5) in the second round on outdoor hard courts. The Italian has converted break points efficiently and posted strong first-serve numbers in Winston-Salem. Duckworth, ranked slightly higher at No. 79, has also advanced in straight sets, upsetting sixth seed Mariano Navone after an opening-round rout, though his serve percentages remain modest. Both players enter with sub-.500 records for 2026 and limited recent title contention, making the matchup a test of current form and tiebreak execution on a surface where Sonego has historically held advantages in their limited prior meetings.
