Cincinnati Reds vs. San Francisco Giants

Game context
Both teams enter this midweek matchup at Oracle Park well out of postseason contention, with the Reds (62-71) and Giants (54-78) combining for poor recent form and lengthy injury lists. Cincinnati, on a three-game skid and nine games back in the NL wild-card race, sends left-hander Nick Lodolo (3-3, 5.04 ERA) to the mound against right-hander Landen Roupp (7-13, 4.34 ERA). The Giants have won the first two games of the series behind strong bullpen work and power from Rafael Devers, while the Reds have managed just one run across their last 23 innings before Sal Stewart’s late homer. Home-field advantage and bullpen depth give San Francisco a modest edge in trader consensus, though both lineups remain inconsistent and the probable starters’ elevated ERAs keep the outcome in doubt.
